Getting near petrichor naturally takes conifers for the wet, resinous part, cedarwood for the earth underneath, and just enough eucalyptus and rosemary to lift the botanicals. Five essential oils in three layers.
The colour comes from indigo, which behaves unlike a clay or a botanical powder: it never dissolves, so how you handle it before it goes in decides how the finished bar looks. The guide covers that properly.
