Who you're buying from

Creaturely Soap is a small independent operation run by Sora. Contact: sora@creaturelysoap.com.

What you're buying

Everything currently sold on this site is a digital download — PDF recipes and printables. Nothing is posted to you. Once payment clears, download links appear immediately on the confirmation page and are emailed to you as well.

Emailed links stay valid for 30 days. If yours expires, or a file won't open, email me and I'll send fresh ones. There's no limit on how many times you can ask.

Refunds

Because these are digital files delivered instantly, a purchase can't generally be undone once you've downloaded it. That said: if a file is broken, if you were charged twice, or if you bought the wrong thing and haven't opened it, email me and I'll refund you. I'd rather do that than have you feel cheated over ten dollars.

Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights to cancel digital purchases. By downloading immediately you may waive some of them — but I'll still deal with genuine problems as above.

What you can do with the recipes

The recipes are for your own use. You're welcome to make soap from them, including soap you sell — I'm not going to police what comes out of your kitchen, and formulations aren't really ownable anyway.

What you can't do is redistribute the files themselves: don't share, resell, republish or repackage the PDFs, and don't reproduce the writing or illustrations elsewhere. If a friend wants a copy, send them the link rather than the file.

Safety, and the limits of what I can promise

Soap making involves sodium hydroxide, which is genuinely dangerous if mishandled. The recipes and the lye safety guide are written carefully and in good faith, but I can't supervise your kitchen, your equipment or your ingredients.

You are responsible for working safely, for verifying weights against a saponification calculator, and for any soap you make or sell. The material on this site is provided as-is, without warranty, and I can't accept liability for injury, loss or damage arising from its use — except where the law doesn't allow that limitation.

Nothing here is medical advice. Handmade soap is a cleansing product, not a treatment for any condition.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your card details. Prices are in US dollars, and any tax required in your location is calculated at checkout.

Changes

I may update these terms as the shop grows — the subscription box in particular will need terms of its own before it launches. The version in force is the one on this page when you buy. Material changes get a new date at the top.
